Ahh the beloved TENS machine!

TENS stands for Transcutaneous Electrical Nerve Stimulation and provides a drug-free kind of pain relief in labour! Best used as soon as you start feeling contractions.

A TENS machine sends small, safe pulses of electrical current via leads to electrode pads which are held your skin and held in place by a firm gel. The pulses pass through your skin and into your muscles and tissues and gives you a gentle tingling or buzzing sensation. The intensity of pulses can be increased or lowered based on the pain being experienced - which is where that handy BOOST buttom comes in.

Not everyone wants to fork out lots of money for something they make use a couple of times in their life so I am providing the option to hire for a 4 week (give or take, I’m not going to break down your door if it’s a few days late) hire! This gives the option to utalize an incredible tool whilst also keeping some dollars in your pocket.

Hire is 4 weeks, usually 2 weeks either side of your ‘due date’. TENS machine to be picked up and dropped off from address in South Plympton which is provided after payment. I have a range of TENS machines but generally it is the ELLE TENS which is hired out.

All hires include fresh pads. Once payment has been received, I will be in contact to arrange dates and provide more information
